This logo pictures a dragon towering above a mine. The dragon represents Impervious' participation in the nuclear tests that took place in the Pacific Ocean in the 1960's. The dragon holds in it's claws a trident. This symbolizes the Impervious' mechanical minesweeping capabilities. The dragon's tail is electrified, representing the electrical tail which Impervious used to conduct magnetic mine countermeasures. The mine itself represents the overall mine clearance objective. The ship's motto "Pride Sweeps Deep" was solicited from the crew. The blue and gold trim signifies Impervious' membership in the World's Greatest Fleet
