What great memories of the 66 cruise, and the crew. Still in touch with some of them.

I served as an ET on board the Impervious from 73 to 75. We did End Sweep in VN, a bunch of mine sweeping exercises and fire fighting schools, and brought her from Guam to Florida. It would be great to hear from past crew mates.

I served onboard from 1987 to 88 as a boot LT as part of the ship's reserve unit. I would much rather be going out to sea on her than working at my current assignment here in Seoul.

I was on Impervious from 1983 to 1985. I was the Corpsman and later the Command Chief after "Mac" broke his leg. I retired from the Navy in Jan 2001. It would be nice to hear from old shipmates.

It has been a long time since I have served on the MSO's. I was on the Impervious MSO-449 1984-1988 then the Illusive MSO-448 1988 then the Engage MSO-433 1988-1989. In all the commands I served in the Navy I have to say that the best duty was on the MSO's we worked hard but we had a lot of fun. There was a comraderie that you did not get at other commands. Anyway I would like to hear from some of you all that I served with.

Boarded the Impervious on December 19, 1972. Chris Morford and I flew in together from Travis AFB. Went through end sweep, the typhoon and change of homeports and stayed on the Purvy until May of 1976. I'd love to share sea stories. I'm not sure if any of mine are true anymore.

Came on board in Charleston from USS Fearless to head to Desert Shield/Storm. Found this site and brought back great memories of some great shipmates. Shortest time spent at any command but by far some of the best people you could serve with. Think of the days over there often. Memories and smiles come back when you see the names, Sharp, Yancey, Honeycutt, Irvin, and all the others. Doesn't surprise me this crew has a site. One hell of a bunch. Hope to hear from some of you guys.

I served on the Impervious from 9-57 to 11-60. Was an RD2 when I left her. I loved that ship and the crew - they were the best. I think of her often.
Super site, I just found it today.

I was on board the Impervious as YN2/1 from 1664 until 1968. The times where great. For a time we were known as the Blob Buster. The guys who were on board at that time will remember when the Blob burst and flooded the lower decks and engineroom.
